Dat Deaux Lady Sourdough Loaf, A Review

First off, I've been remiss in writing and posting this review. It's been close to four weeks since I experienced my loaf from Amanda yet I still have fond memories.

She (the loaf) was blonde and had cute scoring. She was by far the easiest SD loaf I've experienced cutting, which really means the external crust was less chewy and tough. Mind you, chewy and tough is not a bad thing - especially when that kind of exterior becomes crunchy and delightful when toasted up.

She had a mild sourdough flavor and was smooth on the palate. This type of SD is ideal with just a spread of butter and a sprinkle of salt. And maybe a drizzle of honey. The density of the loaf was good for an open-faced sandwich, also known as loaded toast. She got fluffy when toasted and had a lighter mouth-feel but a slice was almost my limit in a single-sitting meal.

I couldn't eat as much as I wanted in the time I had, so I sliced her remains up and made toast-points. If you have not had a loaf from Dat Deaux Lady, I totes recommend. I would love to sample one of Amanda's inclusion loaves at some point.
